While he might be considered quiet, there’s nothing demure about Omar Fayyad’s style. The Dubai-based Egyptian DJ has ten years of experience in the game and has developed a reputation for knowing exactly how to inject a dose of heat into any room without burning it out.
A fixture on the scene in Dubai, Fayyad has most recently shared the stage with the likes of London’s East End Dubs and minimal house veterans, Mike Shannon and Dewalta, this is one spinner with plenty of pedigree.
Naturally, when we found him swinging through our jungle, we kidnapped him and wouldn’t let him out of our sight until he recorded a set for SceneNoise’s Houseplant series. What came out of it was a juicy, hypnotic minimal house sandwich, with extra melancholy on the side.
