Despite the Covid-19 crisis, Egypt’s iconic Bibliotheca Alexandrina has decided to push forward with their International Summer Festival, with a series of limited-capacity events including concerts, performances, workshops, lectures, and storytelling sessions, all taking place in either the library's Open Air Theatre or massive conference hall.

Taking place between the 25th and 29th of August, the festival's musical line-up will open with the one and only, Dina El Wedidi, and will feature the likes of  Michelle Rounds, Mahmoud El Tohamy, Almena, High Dam Band, Andromida and Nouran Aboutaleb, as well as the legendary Ali El Haggar, and pop icon, Mostafa Amar, the latter of whom will close the festival. This year's edition, the 18th overall, is dedicated to famed Egyptian dancer and choreographer, Mahmoud Reda, who passed away in July.
